This morning I popped into the Community Food Shop At @healthagencywh to catch up with Catherine, Linda, Shirley & Samad & to see how this successful project continues to thrive

The Wester Hailes Community Food shop runs at the Healthy Living Centre every Tuesday, 10.00am – 2.00pm, offering fresh, seasonal fruit and vegetables grown at the Cyrenians farm and a selection of tasty nibbles from Edinburgh Community Food.

The shop offers discounted rates for local residents and also runs a pay it forward scheme, allowing people to pay in advance or extra when they make a purchase to allow someone else to eat for free. They also provide a free cup of tasty soup most week so it’s definitely worth popping along!
