During Friday's #ClimateStrike I joined pupils from the Pentland Primary School Edinburgh Eco Group and Gordon Macdonald MSP for the launch of Broadway Convenience Store's new reverse vending machine for recycling cans and bottles.

It's a great initiative - just bring any plastic bottles or cans down to the shop, feed them into the machine, then collect a voucher for 10p per item which can either be donated to Pentlands PS or exchanged for cash.

This is another example of the fantastic work by Dennis and Linda of Broadway Convenience are doing for Oxgangs by securing one of Scotland's first RVMs to help the community take action against plastic waste and litter.
